Realme aims to sell over 50 million units this year. The company is reportedly looking after breaking away from its parent company Oppo. Although earlier teased, Realme has now released Realme UI based on Android 10 and ColorOS 7 in China alongside Realme X50 5G and Realme X50 5G Master Edition. With that being said, beta testing for the user interface is set to commence and the users in India will be participating in the beta testing for Realme UI.
According to Realme’s announcement, it will be conducting Realme UI beta testing to commence in the first week of February this year in India. There are a few requirements that the company has drawn and needs the users to adhere to. First of all, users are required to have Realme X2 which is the only device that will support the beta testing of the upcoming UI. Furthermore, users are required to be Indian citizens and a photo identification will be needed along with it as well.
One of the clauses that Realme has raised is that users must have previous experience with OS bug hunting and reporting. They will be subjected to signing a non-disclosure agreement with the company and failing to abide by it will result in legal actions against the culprit. Moreover, users will have to be actively participating in a not-so-stable user interface because that’s pretty much how new updates work. These updates are fairly volatile and require user feedback so that they can be fine-tuned and rollout across the audience.
As per the timeline listed by Realme, the applications for Realme UI beta testing will open on January 20 followed by closing date on January 27th. The Chinese smartphone maker will shortlist a handful of users based on their credentials and experience and emails will be sent out to the selected users and the beta testing phase will commence in the first week of February. Realme is likely to roll out Realme UI based on ColorOS 7 and Android 10 across Realme 3 and Realme XT as per the original timeline it announced back in November with others following the Android 10 roadmap soon.
