Xiaomi has officially announced the REDMI Note 15 Pro series launch date, confirming that the smartphones will debut in China on August 21. The new lineup will include two models, REDMI Note 15 Pro and REDMI Note 15 Pro+, the company’s next major release in its popular Note series.
Design and display
Xiaomi has released official images of the new REDMI Note 15 Pro+. The phone has a sleek new look with a large, round camera area in the middle of the back. This area holds three cameras, including a main 50MP camera that has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to take better photos in low light and keep videos from being shaky.
The company says the device has a completely curved screen and body, which gives it a high-end look while also being comfortable to hold. This design is meant to make the Note series feel more like a premium, flagship phone.
Hardware and performance
A Xiaomi smartphone with the model number 2510ERA8BC, believed to be the REDMI Note 15 Pro+, recently appeared on the Geekbench 6 benchmark listing. The device is reportedly powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, an upgrade over the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 found in the previous generation.
A new online listing shows that the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ scored 1228 in single-core and 3230 in multi-core performance tests. This means it’s an improvement over the previous model, but not as powerful as phones with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip. The listing also revealed the phone will have 16GB of RAM, which should allow for smooth multitasking.
Charging and satellite connectivity
Last month, the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ surfaced on China’s 3C certification database under the same model number, revealing support for 90W fast charging, a significant upgrade in charging speed for the series.
Another version of the phone, with the model number 25104RADAC, has been approved for radio use and is expected to be called the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ Satellite Edition. This phone will reportedly be the first Redmi to have satellite messaging, specifically supporting Beidou’s short message satellite communication. This feature would allow users to send messages even in areas without a normal cell signal.
