Xiaomi hasn’t released any tablet under the Redmi brand yet, but a new leak suggests that they’re going to launch one soon. The leak reveals most of the specifications of the tablet which will be called “Redmi Pad 5G”, along with its price.
The tab will have pretty slim bezels on the left and right side, with some thicker bezels on top and bottom. Talking about specifications, the Redmi Pad 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 765G soc which supports 5G. It will run on “MIUI For Pad”, which will probably be a customized version of MIUI for tablets. The screen size of the tab is unknown, but it will come with a 90Hz refresh rate. The rear camera setup houses a 48MP Sony sensor, which will be the first time ever on a tab. The battery capacity has not been revealed, but it will support 30W fast charging.
The specs sound too good to be true, especially with the price tag mentioned in the leak. For just ¥1999 (₹21,478/$282), it might be difficult for Xiaomi to offer these specifications, so take this leak with a pinch of salt. Xiaomi hasn’t directly announced or revealed anything about this tablet yet, but a Xiaomi executive did mention somedays back that they’ve not stopped making tablets. The Redmi Tab 5G is expected to be launched on April 27 along with the Mi 10 Youth. Stay updated with us for any future updates about this tab.
