Samsung Galaxy S25 Series debuted last month with no sights of Exynos 2500 SoC whatsoever. Does that mean it’s the end of Samsung’s in-house flagship chips? Of course not. There have been countless leaks around the upcoming flagship chipset and this one is the latest that hints Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 will bring the flagship SoC in the second half of this year.

Search for the ‘Exynos 2500 SoC’ and it’s here, it’s coming for you!

Confirmations on specs come from unlikely places for sure. Turns out a recent Samsung’s earning report mentioned a high-profile exec from Samsung System LSI department confirming the upcoming flagship SOC comes in H2 2025. The exact words where Samsung is currently working on refining the flagship chipsets as it wants “to secure design wins for mobile models scheduled for release in H2 2025”.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Series already arrived in January, so what’s the next flagship to launch this year, you might ask? Well, we are talking about Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 as they generally launch in July and this offers a breakthrough for Samsung to launch these new devices with the Exynos 2500 SoC.

However, it remains unclear whether Samsung will introduce Exynos 2500 SoC across the upcoming foldable series or whether it will be region-specific.

Exynos 2500 SoC specs leak tells a lot

Countless previous leaks have bestowed their takes on Exynos 2500 specs. The chip will enter mass production early this year followed by shipping in the second half. It will be fabbed on the 2nd gen SF3 3nm process. It was earlier believed to have a 1+2+3+4 configuration, however, we are certain it will have a 1+2+2+5 cores configuration.

W.r.t. the cores, Exynos 2500 will have a prime Cotex-A925 core at 3.3GHz, 2x Cortex-A725 cores at 2.75GHz, 5x Cotex-A725 big cores at 2.36GHz, and finally, 2x Cortex-A520 efficiency cores at 1.8GHz. The chipset is packed with Xclipse 950 GPU at 1.3GHz with AMD RDNA, 16M L3 cache, and an NPU capable of 56TOPS. There’s ISP support of up to 320MP resolution capable of hardware 8K@60fps video decoding and 8K@60fps video recording.

Exynos 2500 SoC will arrive with a 16-bit quad-channel LPDDR5X memory with a throughput of 9.6 Gbps and has UFS 4.X storage support.

Samsung is aiming to ship 229.4 million units this year with Galaxy Z Fold7 taking up 3 million of the batch. If there’s a Galaxy Z Flip FE in the works too, that could take another 900K units of the overall shipped units. However, take it with a pinch of salt.

For now, all we are aware of is that the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Z Flip FE* will arrive sometime in July of this year. Stay tuned to True-Tech to find more information about the devices.
