The South Korean giant Samsung has introduced its first Android Go smartphone on August 24 dubbed as Samsung Galaxy J2 Core. The smartphone is now available in India and Malaysia at around Rs. 5,499. It has a pretty decent list of specification encompassing of a 5-inch qHD TFT display with a resolution of 540×960 pixels. The device is powered by an Exynos 7570 1.4GHz quad-core processor coupled with Mali-T720 MP1 GPU.
Samsung Galaxy J2 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) which is the watered-down version of Android 8.1 Oreo alongside a 1GB of RAM and an 8GB internal storage that can be escalated using microSD cards. The device sports an 8MP primary camera with LED Flash and an aperture of f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP camera in the front with an aperture of f/2.2.
According to Samsung, the device offers basic specifications inspired from high-end smartphones with longer battery life, optimum performance, and storage capabilities along with Android 8.1 Oreo experience without lagging the phone because the OS is watered-down and light-weight.
The device has dimensions of 143.4 x 72.1 x 8.9mm which is alright citing its price range and the specifications bundled with it. For connectivity, the device has Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, VoLTE, 3G, and 4G and that’s all at a price of Rs. 5,499. Also, check out the new Jio Phone 2, a not so feature phone at Rs. 2,999.
