Leaks and speculations around the upcoming flagship tablet series from Samsung are getting hotter and hotter every day. A few weeks ago we got to know the display sizes and specifications, this week we have seen the official press renders of the Galaxy Tab S7. Now, a new report suggests that there might be a minute variation between the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7 Plus.
The report comes to us from SamMobile and according to them, the smaller version will not include an in-display fingerprint sensor. The larger 12.4 -inch model on the other hand is expected to come with the in-display fingerprint sensor. It is worth noting that the Galaxy Tab S7 will not completely miss out on the fingerprint sensor. SamMobile says that the smaller Galaxy Tab might arrive with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power key, just like the Galaxy Tab S5e.
As far as the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus is concerned, it might come with ultra-sonic in-display fingerprint sensor or an optical scanner. Either way, it would not matter much as the ultra-sonic scanners of Samsung are mostly equal footing to optical ones. I personally think the physical scanners are the best any day, at least on the tablets. As it is near to impossible to unlock the tab single-handed when it comes to in-display scanners as the scanners are located towards the center and reaching it on a huge screen is definitely not a pleasing thing.
Apart from the display sizes and fingerprint technologies, both the tablets share almost similar specifications. Previous reports suggested that the Galaxy Tab S7 series will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC which was announced very recently. The Galaxy Tab S7 might feature a 12.4-inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2800 x 1752 pixels. The pixel density of this display is 267 PPI. Despite having a higher resolution, the display might not be sharp. At least when compared with the last year’s Galaxy Tab S6.
The Galaxy Tab S7 series could possibly be Samsung’s answer to the iPad Pro series from Apple. The iPad Pro is already unveiled with a similar refresh rate display i.e., 120Hz ProMotion screen. Considering this is a flagship tablet series from Samsung we can expect these devices to feature AMOLED display tech which would give the Galaxy Tab S7 series a slight edge over the iPad Pro.
Galaxy Tab S7 and Watch 3 won't be release at Unpacked 2020. In fact Samsung already has a dedicate date for both and it's only 2 weeks later ???? https://t.co/1BneBzJDWX

As for the launch, we certainly are not sure. According to Ice Universe on Weibo, we can expect the launch of the tablet series during the Galaxy Unpacked event which is going to happen on August 5th. But, tipster SamChun suggested that the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 Plus will be launched alongside the Galaxy Watch 3 separately.
