The Galaxy Unpacked 2025 just wrapped up, and we got some amazing phones out there. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Flip7 FE are the new clamshell foldables out there, offering better specs compared to the successors. Both the devices are up for pre-orders, but hey, let’s check out what these models are offering before spending a fortune.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 Goes Official: Here are the Specs You Should Know
We have been waiting for Z Flip7 and Fold7 for ages. Cut to now, both the devices are here, and we are amazed. Talking about Z Flip7, the phone offers a much slimmer frame than Flip6 measuring 13.7mm when folded and 6.5mm when unfolded. What’s amazing is the fact that the battery saw an increase in capacity from 4,000 to 4,300mAh while keeping the phone’s weight at 188g.
Talking about the screens, we have seen quite an upgrade in this department. The cover display has gotten bigger with an edge-to-edge 4.1” Super AMOLED panel with super thin bezels at 1.25mm. Gone are the days when we had to struggle with a 3.4” cover display, so yes, it’s a win-win for all.
The inner primary display has gotten bigger as well, from 6.7” to 6.9”. It is similar to Galaxy S25+, for context, although the Flip7 is less wide at 68.6mm. Samsung had to get some fluff away to make the phone thinner, such as the new Armor FlexHinge is 30% thinner than the predecessor.
On top, the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 secures the outer display. Plus, we have IP48 dust and water resistance, which is by far better than ever. The Armor Aluminum frame gives the phone its durability, which is much needed as well.
Under the hood, we have an Exynos 2500 SoC powering the device, paired with 12GB RAM and 256 or 512GB of storage. We knew there was no Snapdragon variant for the Flip7, and that turned out to be true. However, Samsung has assured better performance on the Exynos 2500 SoC, but let’s give it some time before whining about it anyway.
On the optics front, we have a 50MP primary and a 12MP ultrawide snapper. The device uses a 10MP cam on the inner display.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE Specifications
Moving on, we have a much cheaper alternative to Z Flip7 dubbed as Z Flip7 FE or Fan Edition. It is $200 less than the premium Flip7, so that’s a great buy if you are considering investing in a clamshell-styled phone and don’t want to shell out a fortune.
Talking about the Z Flip7 FE, the phone measures 14.9mm when folded and 6.9mm when unfolded. It has a curb weight of 187g with a 4,000mAh battery under the hood. There are two displays on-board at 3.4” cover with Victus 2 and 6.7” internal foldable displays to go.
Rear camera specs are almost identical to Flip7, but lack HDR video. The phone is powered by last year’s Exynos 2400 SoC that both Galaxy S24 and Flip6 brought to the table. There’s 8GB RAM on-board, along with 128GB and 256GB storage configs.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 & Flip7 FE Pricing
The Galaxy Z Flip7 retails for $1,100, and it is already available for pre-order and the open sales commences on July 25. The base variant is 256GB and there’s a 512GB configuration as well. You can choose between Coral Red, Blue Shadow, and Jet Black colorways, while the Mint colorways are available as an online exclusive via Samsung.com. In India, the Galaxy Z Flip7 fetches a price tag INR 1,09,999/- for 12+256GB while the higher 12+512GB retails for INR 1,21,999/-.
Talking about the FE, the Flip7 FE retails for $899.99 for the base 128GB variant. You can get up to 256GB of storage thanks to the higher trim. Unlike the standard Flip 7, the Flip7 FE is available either in White or Black colorways.
