  • The Z Fold6 Slim features a slim design, larger display, and no S Pen support.

There are a lot of expectations with the Samsung foldable, specifically, the February launch event, however, the rumor mill is also talking about something even more momentous happening in early 2025.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim (or Ultra) is Coming Alongside the Galaxy S25 Series

The reputed insider Ross Young has similar expectations about a “Z Fold6 Slim” (or Ultra) that should be released alongside the Samsung Galaxy S25. Samsung Z Fold6 Slim intends to combine a slim, stylish body that users can easily fit in their pockets with a bigger outer display for convenience while providing users with an excellent and elegant device.

This model is perfect for anyone who would wish to have a slab that is thin in order not to occupy much space while at the same time, having a good view. However, the slim design comes with a notable trade-off: One area that could disappoint users is the lack of S Pen support in the Z Fold6 Slim.

The lack of a second camera was speculated to be due to the reduction of internal space, which could mean that this variant would lack the digitizer required for the S Pen, making the accessory incompatible with this device.

The Z Fold6 Slim has not officially launched yet, but it is believed to launch in the first quarter of 2025 when production is expected to increase in late 2024. On the 3D front, even while coming with some new flagship features, the price tag will probably be closer to that of the Z Fold6 to directly compete with the other foldable brands in the Samsung foldable line.

Samsung has expanded its foldable device lineup with the Z Fold6 Slim as it seeks to increase its presence in the foldable market. In this way, Samsung is creating market dominance in this foldable market by offering a variety of options according to the user’s demands.

Circulating rumors of an FE model in the Z Fold6 have been left out to a surprising extent and the Z Fold6 Slim would appear to fill the role of a higher specked version. The novelty of using the “Ultra” moniker for the Z Fold6 Slim has caused many to furrow their brows. The “Ultra” moniker has typically implied that a product has a higher number of characteristics versus a lower number and this has analysts perplexed by this choice.

The standard Z Fold6 also looks set on an impressive upgrade from its predecessor Z Fold5. Recent rumors point to a markedly less invasive crease across the main flexible display, possibly adopted with the help of a more robust version of UTG. This enhancement is geared towards offering users an easy time as well as making the graphics pleasing.

Also, the camera module of the Z Fold6 may be improved and enhanced significantly. Sneak peek photos suggest that the Z Fold5 may have moved away from the circular glass module in the camera area, and instead of the clear plastic, have a circle surrounding the camera sensor. This design change aims to defy current designs and simultaneously improve their form and function.

We should, therefore patiently wait for further details of the Z Fold6 Slim when it also comes to market as is expected alongside the S25 series. Meanwhile, Samsung has its event scheduled for July 10, and that is when it will be releasing the Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, to ensure that Samsung does not relent on the folds phone market for longer than necessary.
