South Korean juggernaut has announced three new monitors targeting different audiences. The monitors will be showcased at the CES 2022 that will be held in Las Vegas from January 5 to 7. The three monitors are targeted towards gamers, smart TV, and features users and content creators. Here’s more about it.

Samsung Announces Odyssey Neo G8

The maxed-out version of it all, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 is the first-ever 4K gaming monitor from Samsung with a whopping 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. It has a curved panel with 1000R of curvature. It uses Quantum Mini LED along with an advanced Quantum Mini LED backlighting.

Samsung Announces Odyssey Neo G8

According to Samsung, the mini LED backlight system it uses on the G8 is 1/40th the size of conventional LED units. Apart from that, the gaming monitor uses Quantum Matrix and Quantum HDR 2000 technologies that push its HDR content brightness to a peak of 2000 nits along with 4096 step backlight adjustments.

If that’s not all, the Neo G8 features 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.1 ports. The monitor uses the CoreSync feature that enables it to adjust the RGB lighting mounted on the back to match up with the content being displayed.

Samsung Announces Smart Monitor M8

It’s a smart TV, it’s a smart monitor, it’s both. The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 offers a myriad of smart TV features including pre-installed streaming apps such as Samsung TV Plus, Netflix, etc. There’s a webcam built-in that you can use to video call people using Google Duo. There’s also no need to use any source such as a set-top box or Chromecast as it is a smart monitor and you can connect to the internet and more.

Samsung Announces Odyssey Neo G8

Available in a 32-inch UHD panel, the Smart Monitor M8 has a wireless remote and offers you the ability to dynamically switch between a Smart TV and a monitor for ‘n’ number of tasks. There’s SmartThings Hub on-board that lets you pair it with other supported devices.

Samsung Announces the Monitor S8

Albeit the third in the series but not something you should try, the Samsung Monitor S8 does make things easier for content creators and designers. With a 32-inch and 27-inch UHD resolution, it has a glare-free panel certified by Underwriters Laboratories making it the world’s first to get the certification.

Apart from that, the Monitor S8 features wired LAN support, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, covers 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space and has a USB-C port along with a tonne of other features.

You can catch a glimpse of the trio and more at CES 2022 at Samsung’s booth. The trio will enter the market for sales in the first half of this year itself.
