Just in time! Android Pie 9.0 stable update is finally rolling out for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 users bundled with the newly launched One UI that Samsung developed for ease of use on giant-sized smartphones.

There have been a number of beta updates with Galaxy Note 9 but this is particularly a stable version with the build number N960FXXU2XRLT dated January 1, 2019. Although the photo posted below taken by a user living in Germany after receiving the update denotes that the file size is 95MB, it is for those moving from beta to stable update. Other users who are using Android Oreo will have to install a much larger file that will probably count in 1 to 1.5GB.

Talking about the update, it has several bug fixes that users and the developers have noticed. Further, Samsung has tweaked the brightness of faces in different lighting conditions with a bump in the day/night accuracy and better HDR control. The update has fixed issues with the brightness and SNR or Signal Noise Ratio both of which are with respect to its camera.

Samsung has fixed few stability issues while making the software optimal for smooth operations and performance at all time. According to users, beta update for Android Pie on Samsung Galaxy Note 9 had battery draining issues so we think it might have been resolved with the update. Although there is no timeline as to when the users will get the update, Samsung could roll it out in coming few days while a global rollout will take some time to materialize.

Samsung launched the One UI during the Samsung Developers Conference last month and it has already reached to Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ and Galaxy A8s along with Android Pie. The South Korean brand has a number of tech pieces to roll out in coming weeks such as the Samsung Galaxy S10 series, its very first foldable phone ‘Galaxy F’, and a gaming-oriented smartphone although we didn’t hear about the last device for a long time now.
