Unlike every time, the event is going to take place online due to the health concerns in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the event date nearing, it looks like Samsung is not even trying to hide what it is announced during the Unpacked as they just posted a trailer which gives us a clear idea of what to expect from the Galaxy Unpacked 2020.

The silhouettes of all the devices are shown at the ending of the video. Going by the video, we understand that the South-Korean giant is unveiling five devices this time. And judging by the shapes of the silhouette’s, we can expect Samsung to launch the flagship Galaxy Note 20 series which comes in two variants i.e., regular variant and ultra variant. The second device is the Galaxy Fold 2 which sticks out among the other devices due to its huge form-factor.

While the Galaxy Fold 2 and Note 20 were placed to the right of the frame, to the left we get to see the Galaxy Watch 3 and the bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Live. Now, right behind the Galaxy Watch and Buds, we see a rectangular device. Most of us will not understand what Samsung is teasing on the back due to the placement, but going by the previous leaks we expect that it is Galaxy Tab S7. Overall, Samsung is going Mystic Bronze theme this time.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

Every device in the list has leaked in one way or another, and most of the leaks might turn out true considering these silhouettes. To confirm whether the previous leaks are true, we will have to wait another week. But, turns out Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series leaks are accurate though! The device and its renders were leaked heavily. But to recall the first set of renders were leaked by PigTou publication, followed by other leakers. And yeah, Samsung has also accidentally leaked the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in Mystic Bronze on its Ukraine site.

Not just that, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra was leaked in live images, thanks to the YouTuber Jimmy is Promo who brought us the device in Black color. While we are at the Galaxy Note 20 leaks, it is worth mentioning that the pricing of both Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra was leaked.

As for the Galaxy Note 20 pricing, according to the report from Naver publication, the lower price is believed to be in response to the expected lower demand amid the Coronavirus Pandemic. According to Naver, the Galaxy Note 20 might launch at 1.2 million Korean won (approx $999 or 75,000 INR) which is slightly lower than the launch price of 1.25 million Korean won (roughly $1,040 or 78,000 INR). The report further adds that the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will be priced at 1.45 million won which roughly translates to $1207 or 90,000 INR.

As far as the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra’s pricing is concerned, the device will be launched at Rs 95,990 in India. Now this means, the Galaxy Note 20 ultra will launch at a cheaper price than the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Before or after the launch of the Note series, we can expect the Galaxy S20 Ultra to receive a price cut!

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 which is launching during the same event is also leaked heavily in the past revealing the screen sizes, specifications, and design. According to the previous reports, Galaxy Fold 2 will likely sport a larger 7.59-inch main display and a 6.23-inch secondary display with 2213×1689 pixels and 2267×819 pixels resolution respectively. Moreover, the main display will be scaled up to 120Hz as the Galaxy S20 series launched in February had it as well. Also, the render of the possible device was posted by Samsung Insider Ice Universe.

The image posted by Ice Universe on Twitter shows a very tiny punch-hole display camera cutout on the top right of the device. As for the Galaxy Fold 2’s pricing, it comes from popular YouTuber Sandeep Sarma aka RevAtlas. Samsung might unveil the Galaxy Fold 2 in India at 1,84,000 INR which roughly translates to 2,460$. Sandeep further added that the units will be on the first come first serve pre-order basis. The reason for this is only 1000 units are coming in total in the first batch for entire India. And the good news here is that the Galaxy Fold 2 might unveil with Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 865 Plus powering the show.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7

Galaxy Tab S7 is also leaked a couple of times in the past. Galaxy Tab S7 will unveil in two variants. Both of these devices are expected to come with Snapdragon 865+ SoC to take on Apple’s latest iPad Pro variants. According to SamMobile, the smaller version will not include an in-display fingerprint sensor. The larger 12.4 -inch model on the other hand is expected to come with the in-display fingerprint sensor. It is worth noting that the Galaxy Tab S7 will not completely miss out on the fingerprint sensor. SamMobile says that the smaller Galaxy Tab might arrive with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power key, just like the Galaxy Tab S5e.

The Galaxy Watch will be made available in two sizes like every time – 41 mm and 45 mm. The Galaxy Watch 3 will include a lot of new features including ECG monitor, blood pressure sensor, and activity tracking. As far as the buds are concerned, they will come with active noise cancellation as standard, but we are a bit skeptical about that considering the bean-shaped fit.

We expected the company to launch the Galaxy Flip 5G during the same event but turns out the company has some other plans for the Flip 5G launch. The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event will be streaming on Wednesday, August 5th, at 10 AM ET or 7.30 PM IST.
