Every month brings its sets of smartphone launches. Sometimes, it’s a big guys like Google Pixel 9 Pro XL or the iPhone 16 Pro Max or the entry level launches such as Redmi 14R and Realme Narzo 70 Turbo Plus among others. If you haven’t decided which phone to buy, might as well wait until the end of this month as we have an impressive lineup of smartphones launching in October 2024.

Lava Agni 3

Released: Sale via Amazon on October 9

List of Smartphones Launching in October 2024: OnePlus 13, Galaxy S24 FE, Xiaomi 15, & Snapdragon 8 Gen 4

Lava Agni 3 made its entry in the mid-range segment in the first week of this month with the sale going live on October 9 via Amazon. The phone brings on-board a Dimensity 7300X SoC under the hood paired alongside 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. There’s a 6.78” AMOLED panel housing 1200×2652 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. 

On the optics front, we have a 50MP primary with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide cam with 112° FOV, and an 8MP telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom. There’s also a 16MP front selfie camera as well. A 5,000mAh battery powers the device paired alongside 66W fast charging tech.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE

After marking its global launch, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE made it to Indian shores by the end of September (as we mentioned here). Cut to now, the phone will be available for pre-orders on October 3.

It has an Exynos 2400e SoC in India along with a 6.7″ FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz panel. There’s 50MP OIS plus 8MP 3x telephoto and a 12MP ultrawide snapper at the back while the front dons a 10MP shooter. On the software front, you get Android 14-based One UI 6.1 along with a tonne of AI features including Live Translate, Circle to Search, Interpreter mode, Composer, Note Assist, etc.

Vivo X200 Series

Vivo X200 Series is arriving on October 14 as confirmed by the Chinese smartphone maker. The series brings X200, X200 Pro, and X200+ powered by Dimensity 9400 SoC under the hood. Pro has a 200MP periscope lens, there’s 90W fast charging and a massive 5,600 to 6,000mAh battery on-board to name a few. The phone comes as a successor to last year’s X100 Series and will mark a rival to the Apple iPhone 16 Series in the home country followed by its global launch probably a few months down the line.

Infinix Zero Flip

The first flip phone from Infinix is finally making its debut on October 17 in India. Marking its entry into the foldable smartphone market in the country, Zero Flip packs in a Dimensity 8020 SoC under the hood plus 8GB RAM (+8GB virtual RAM) and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

A 6.9” foldable LTPO AMOLED FHD+ display takes the center stage boasting 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. There’s a beefy 4,700mAh battery under the hood paired with 70W wired charging. The phone is expected to make its debut at around $599 (globally) although the Indian pricing might differ.

Xiaomi 15 Series

Xiaomi is all set to launch the all-powerful Xiaomi 15 series on October 20 marking its global launch. All the phones under the Xiaomi 15 banner get either Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC or the Dimensity 9400 SoC. The series comprises Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Pro, and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Sources suggest the phones pick up between 5,500-6,000 mAh batteries, up to 90W fast charging tech, IP69 water protection, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for biometrics. 

Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the top-of-the-line flagship phone, has already made quite a few appearances across certification sites and the various specs it is speculated to bring onboard. The finest of all, Xiaomi 15 Ultra is said to pick up Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite, an AP for Ultra. There are up to 200MP quad-rear cameras, and Android 15-powered HyperOS 2.0 takes care of the software. 

To be honest, Xiaomi 15 Series is definitely one of the most awaited smartphones to launch in October.

OnePlus 13

In August, we had the Google Pixel 9 Series; in September, we had the Apple iPhone 16 Series, but the party has just started. In October, we will see the OnePlus 13 debut in China, a few months before its last flagship model launched in December 2023 (in China). As usual, the OnePlus 13 will bring the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC giving the phone a much-needed leap in performance. A high-density glacier battery technology will bring in a larger battery tech without increasing the actual size of the device.

Rumors suggest there’s a non-Samsung OLED panel on-board the OnePlus 13. We expect a 6.8” micro-curved display boasting LTPO technology and a 2K resolution. We should see some other improvements as well such as IP69 water and dust resistance that the world is getting at. The global launch will likely happen in early 2025 probably around the same time as Samsung Galaxy S25 Series.

Honor Magic 7 Series

Honor Magic 7 Series is gearing up for a massive launch by the end of this month. It will be a successor to the Magic 6 Series launched in China in January 2024. The phone brings at least five models — standard Magic 7, Magic 7 Pro, Magic 7 Pro Satellite, Magic 7 Ultimate, and Magic 7 Porsche Design. The series will bring Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, also launching this month, in-line with other flagship models such as OnePlus 13, Vivo X200 Series, Xiaomi 15 Series, Oppo Find X8 Series among others.

Honor Magic 7 Series is confirmed to bring its first-ever AI assistant on-board, satellite connectivity, and likely to see a 100W wired charging across all units.

iQOO 13

iQOO 13 is another smartphone that has recently completed a few hops such as IMEI certification making its launch imminent at least in China. Slated to arrive with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC much in-line with the OnePlus 13, the phone is slated to boost a giant 6.78” BOE Q1 display with 144Hz refresh rate and a 2K resolution. There’s 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, 120W fast charging on its 6,100mAh battery pack, and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. 

This is primarily for the Chinese variant whereas the global version coming a few months down the line might probably see slightly different specs. Moving further, we see a 16MP front cam, a 50MP IMX921 plus 50MP JN1 ultrawide, and a 50MP Sony IMX826 telephoto cam with 2x optical zoom at the back.
