Vivo S9 arrived earlier this year in March. Well, its successor is on its way as per a leak coming from China on its popular microblogging site Weibo. The successor that will be aptly named Vivo S10 appears almost complete and thus, it’s just a matter of time until it goes official although the date is not known yet.

The leak also shows a few key specifications that the upcoming Vivo S10 will bring on board although some of them still look identical to S9. This includes the same MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset that was seen with the predecessor. Apart from that, the phone gets a 108MP primary rear setup which is a massive jump from the 64MP sensor mounted on S9.

Other dissimilarities include 44W fast charging tech which will charge the phone’s battery from 0 to 38 percent in 15 minutes. Apart from that, the device will arrive with Virtual RAM that will increase its RAM capacity by 4GB. According to the leakster Abhishek Jadav, Vivo S10 will arrive in two RAM options i.e. 8GB and 12GB. Adding 4GB of Virtual RAM would mean the Vivo S10 will have a 12GB and a 16GB variant. Moving on, there’s a UFS 3.1 storage system on-board S10.

Other details as seen in the image tagged on Weibo are NFC, Android 11-backed OriginOS 1.0 out-of-the-box. Since the device packs in a Dimensity 1100 5G SoC, it is a no-brainer that it will arrive with 5G support as well.

For context, here are the specifications that the predecessor Vivo S9 arrived with. There’s a 6.44-inch AMOLED 90Hz FHD+ HDR10+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. There’s a 64MP+8M+2MP rear camera setup and a 44MP+8MP front camera setup. The device arrived with a 4,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging tech, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, and a myriad of sensors including an under-the-display fingerprint scanner.

So far, we aren’t aware of the launch date for Vivo S10 although it seems that the launch is imminent and approaching soon. Expect it sometime between July and September 2021 although this is just a tentative timeline and thus, the phone could arrive sooner or later as well.
