Vivo is releasing phones south and north in all tiers available. Now that the flagship Vivo X60 series is right around the corner, we have heard about an upcoming phone in the mid-range category aka Vivo Y31s 5G. Apparently, the phone with its model number V2054A arrived on China Telecom’s website giving details on almost all the specifications you want.
Apparently, the device is more or less a diluted and downgraded version of the previously launched Vivo Y52s 5G. Talking about the device, Vivo has definitely made some changes in the camera and chipset department. Vivo Y31s 5G gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 SoC under the hood along with a6+128GB internal storage configuration. Yes, there’s just one configuration available at the time of writing this.
The device offers a giant 6.58-inch LCD display with a waterdrop-shaped notch on-top holding an 8MP front snapper. At the back, Vivo has discarded the 48MP primary sensor with a 13MP sensor on-board Y31s 5G and it adds a 2MP secondary snapper along with it to make a dual-camera setup arranged in a Vivo X60-inspired setup.
The images also show a side-mounted fingerprint scanner cum power button which hints that the display isn’t AMOLED. Furthermore, the device is powered by a hefty 5,000 mAh battery stuffed under the hood along with 18W fast charging tech and a USB-C for charging and data transfer purposes. A 3.5mm headphone jack gives you access to music and more without needing a different dongle or a wireless headphone but a regular one with a 3.5mm jack would do.
Y31s 5G sports at least three color variants i.e. Ruby Red and Titanium Gray nad Monet Color. It runs on the latest Android 11 out-of-the-box which also boosts its probability of running on the new OriginOS as well. Talking about the Vivo Y31s 5G pricing, the listing suggests that it is CNY 1,798 which loosely translates to $275. However, we aren’t certain that the phone will have this pricing when it arrives on December 31 as its expected date or it is just a placeholder. That remains to be seen.
