The Chinese manufacturer has released quite a lot of information about the device even before it officially arrives including the DisplayMate ratings. Here’s more about the new updates.

Xiaomi 12 Launch

According to a teaser, Xiaomi 12 will have a 6.28-inch punch-hole panel which is a tad bit smaller than the 6.81-inch display mounted on Xiaomi Mi 11. Turns out this improves single-hand usage to a great extent as the teaser does compare Xiaomi 12 with iPhone 13 which is considerably wider at 71.5mm while the Xiaomi 12 is just 69.9mm.

Moving on, DisplayMate has granted Xiaomi 12’s display with an A+ rating with 15 new records. Although more information is yet to be done, Xiaomi 12 will have high PPI, 10-bit color, a 16,000-level brightness adjustment, outstanding color accuracy to name a few.

Xiaomi 12 will have an FHD+ resolution on top while the Pro version packs in a QHD panel although information about the same is yet to be discovered. The vanilla version will be a compact flagship while the Pro version is true, a Pro full-fledged and full-sized flagship device with a larger panel.

Xiaomi 12 Series Improvements

Xiaomi has continued releasing teasers for the upcoming duo including the camera improvements that the company has reportedly spent two years researching on to achieve better camera algorithms and eventually the shots. The teaser also mentioned faster processing even for night photography although that remains to be seen.

Xiaomi 12 Launch

Xiaomi was able to shrink the size of the phone by shrinking the size of its motherboard although it has mentioned using a pretty huge vapor chamber cooling plate under the hood that keeps the temperature in check. The devices are using Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 so there’s a lot that can be done especially when there’s a cooling system on-board to handle extreme gaming or apps.

Xiaomi 12 Series is scheduled to arrive officially on December 28.
