Xiaomi 15 Pro camera specs were recently spotted on Chinese microblogging website Weibo signaling improvement in overall rear camera assembly. The upcoming flagship phone is expected to bring a lot to the table including the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
Xiaomi 15 Pro Camera Specs Tipped
The tipster points out the presence of a new primary sensor on-board dubbed OV50K. It is a 1-inch sensor compared to the 1/1.31” sensor on-board Xiaomi 14 Pro that will eventually translate into better picture quality even in low lighting situations. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the OV50K except the fact that it is larger than the 1/1.31” OV50K40 released earlier.
In any case, the tipster mentions this sensor uses lateral overflow integration capacitors or LOFIC that channel single-exposure HDR onboard Xiaomi 15 Pro. The tipster goes as far as comparing the HDR capabilities of this sensor to be human-eye-like.
Moving on, we have a 50MP telephoto shooter onboard the Xiaomi 15 Pro with 3x optical zoom capabilities as well. However, moving to a different sensor may prove fatal as the said sensor is worse compared to OV64b in the case of digital zoom. The post further mentions improved capabilities on-board the telephoto sensor compared to Xiaomi 14 Pro’s Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor, although it depends largely on the aperture size.

Xiaomi 15 Pro Design (Speculated)
We haven’t seen the official Xiaomi 15 Pro just yet although several leaks do help us paint a picture on what to expect. Xiaomi 15 Pro will see a square-shaped camera bump located in the upper-left corner housing its triple camera setup aka the 50MP OV50K primary, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP Sony IMX882 3x telephoto sensor. There will be an improved set of front cameras. Finally, we have a 2K micro-curved screen at the front.
First To Hit Market With Snapdragon 8 Gen 4
Yep, you must have heard that already. Xiaomi 15 Series will be the first device to arrive powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, Xiaomi reserved first launch rights to debut the phone with this flagship chipset before it reaches other OEMs such as OnePlus and Samsung.
As usual, Xiaomi 15 Series will make it to the Chinese market later this year followed by their global rollout a few months down the time next year.
