After the success of Xiaomi Civi 1, the Civi 2 has officially arrived in China as a mid-range smartphone with stunning selfie setup among others. It even has an Apple’s Dynamic Island inspired notch at the front among others. Let’s see what the phone brings onboard.
Xiaomi Civi 2 Pricing and Availability
Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Civi 2 with three major storage variants. The base variant is at 8GB+128GB at CNY 2,399 while the 8GB+256GB is at CNY 2,499 and the top-of-the-line 12GB+256GB is available at CNY 2,799. Note that these prices translate to INR 27,000/-, INR 28,500/-, and INR 32,000/- respectively although this is just a converted amount and not the actual price tag once the phone arrives in India, if at all. It is likely to be rebadged as Xiaomi 13 Lite or Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE globally.
You can try your hands on a Hello Kitty edition of the Xiaomi Civi 2 clad in white with pleated patterns at the back. For others, there’s blue, black and pink colorways available with the standard version of the phone
Xiaomi Civi 2 Specifications
Xiaomi launched the Civi 2 in China powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. It has 8GB and 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM options while the storage is at 128GB and 256GB UFS 2.2 that you can choose from.
The display on the Xiaomi Civi 2 is a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel sporting up to 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. There’s Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top for shatter and scratch protection. It has both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support as well.
On the camera front, we have a 50MP primary, a 20MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro sensor. What’s amazing is the fact that Xiaomi Civi 2 has a dual front camera setup at the front housed by two 32MP selfie snapper clubbed with front flash and a tonne of beauty camera features onboard such as fancy video editor and background blur, etc. These LED flashes are nicely tucked into the already slimmed upper bezels.
Xiaomi Civi 2 is strapped with a 4,500mAh battery alongside a 67W fast charging tech. Apart from that, we have Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, dual SIM 5G support, USB-C port and a Stainless Steel VC Liquid Cooling Technology among others. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack though in case you want to know.
