Xiaomi introduced Mi 11 back in December in its home country followed by its global launch earlier this month. With that being said, Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Lite were expected to join the wagon, however, there are no words at the moment. Cut to now, we have come across a hands-on video showcasing Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in and out. A YouTube channel Tech Buff PH from the Philippines has uploaded a hands-on video of Mi 11 Ultra showing the actual device in a live video. The YouTube video has since been marked as private although it has already created a lot of buzz in the smartphone market.
Talking about the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, it looks a bit like Poco M3, and not to forget that Poco is a sub-brand to Xiaomi. The device packs in a massive camera setup at the back consisting of two ginormous 50MP primary and a secondary 48MP ultrawide sensors side by side. This is followed by a 48MP periscope sensor at the bottom capable of reaching up to 120x zoom. Most intriguing is there’s a tiny secondary display at the back adjoining the triple camera setup.
As seen in the video, the device comes with a 48MP periscope unit powered to achieve a whopping 120x zoom as it is inscribed on it. Further, the device clad with white colorways has an Ultra Pixel AI Camera inscribed just under the 120x zoom written alongside the periscope unit. On the contrary, the black-colored variant says “120X, 12-120mm, 1:1.95-4.1” although we aren’t aware of what that means. These two models may be actually prototypes and if that’s true, we could see a few changes when the device actually arrives.
Talking about the display tech, Mi 11 Ultra sports a giant 6.81-inch WQHD+ 120Hz curved OLED panel protected by a Gorilla Glass Victus. There’s a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate that alters between refresh rate up to 120Hz which means it puts less strain on the battery. There’s a punch-hole cut-out on the top-left corner that houses a 20MP selfie shooter. Next up, the device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC that powers the device.
There’s an MIUI 12.5 out-of-the-box and it will soon get an MIUI 13 as well. Apart from that, the YouTuber also mentioned that the device IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, and there’s stereo speakers setup on-board Mi 11 Ultra tuned by Harmon/Kardon. The device is powered by a colossal 5,000 mAh battery and it is supplied by a 67W wired and a 67W wireless charging tech along with 10W reverse wireless charging.
