After announcing Xiaomi Redmi S2, the Chinese brand might be getting ready for their next flagship device. Yes! we’re talking about Xiaomi Mi 7. The leaks for this upcoming device has already started emerging online. Xiaomi Mi7 is expected to arrive in its home country on May 23 if previous leaks are to be believed.
We now have few live pictures of the upcoming flagship smartphone by Xiaomi. The pictures were spotted on the popular Chinese social network website known as Weibo. It reveals a design quite similar to the iPhone X with a notch and a vertical dual camera setup on the back. A separate photo of the ‘Settings menu’ also reveals about the operating system. The device is seen running on MIUI 9 8.5.2, but it is most likely the beta version.
According to these images, the Xiaomi Mi 7 has a wide notch on the top just like the iPhone X that consist of a front-facing camera, an earpiece, and the proximity sensor. There are also high expectations of some facial recognition hardware in that area. We’ll be able to tell once we see more solid evidence one way or another. The alleged Mi 7 is seen in white color and some variation of gold color in the pictures.
Coming to the leaked specifications, the device will have Snapdragon 845 processor, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The device might sport a Dual 16 MP cameras and with 4480 mAh of battery. It will also be having an under display fingerprint scanner as per previous reports. The MI 7 is going to come preloaded with MIUI 9 8.5.2. There are also leaks of a powerful version, similar to the Mi Mix 2S configuration.
While these images seem real, there’s always that chance that it might end up being fake. We’ll be able to tell once more such leaks and come up as we near the launch.
