Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 design
Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 features a three-sided micro-curved display and a sleek frosted metal frame. It also comes with a newly redesigned hinge, which helps create a flatter, more seamless look when the phone is unfolded. Xiaomi says the screen offers an amazingly flat viewing experience, showing clear progress in reducing the crease usually seen on foldable displays.
Despite housing a larger battery, the Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 measures just 7.57 mm in thickness when unfolded, making it thinner than the 7.8 mm original MIX Flip. However, the phone weighs 199 grams, which is 7 grams heavier than its predecessor, likely due to the upgraded hinge and battery.

Color options shown in Xiaomi’s teaser image include black, gold, purple, and cyan.

Performance and battery
Under the hood, the MIX Flip 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, Qualcomm’s latest flagship SoC designed for high performance and energy efficiency. It also packs a 5165mAh battery, a sizable boost for a compact foldable and a big upgrade from the previous model.
Display and camera
A standout feature of the new device is its 4.01-inch external display, which Xiaomi describes as a multi-function large screen. This outer display is expected to offer more interactivity than previous iterations, such as improved notifications, quick app access, and camera previews.
On the back, the MIX Flip 2 features a camera system with Leica Summilux lenses. The main camera has a 23 mm focal length and a bright f/1.7 aperture, while the secondary lens offers a 14 mm focal length and f/2.2 aperture, indicating an ultra-wide-angle setup. A shift from the telephoto lens used in the previous MIX Flip model.

More details, including pricing and availability, will be revealed at Xiaomi’s official launch event on June 26 in China.
