Xiaomi Redmi G Gaming Laptop Unveiled with 144 Hz Display

Xiaomi already has a couple of laptops, to be more precise, a couple of Notebooks in various price segments. But the company didn’t launch any gaming laptops in the market. Gaming laptops have a good number of market share, and the numbers are increasing rapidly. Gaming laptops like Asus’s ROG, Acer’s Predator, Lenovo’s Legion, Dell’s Alienware, etc are already there in the market and have a good number of users.

Xiaomi has launched the first-ever gaming laptop under its Redmi brand. The new Redmi G gaming notebook comes with the newest 10th-gen Intel Core processor options, Nvidia GeForce GPU, fast refresh rate displays, and a gamer-oriented design. It features slim bezels on the highest and sides, while rock bottom bezel is fairly large that also houses a webcam, which is perhaps not the simplest location.

The company is offering a laptop in three variants. The base variant features an Intel Core i5-10200H CPU with a 60Hz display priced at CNY 5,299 (~Rs 57,000) while the second variant offers a Core i5-10300H CPU with a 144Hz display priced at CNY 6,299 (~68,000). The highest variant comes with a Core i7-10750H CPU with a 144Hz display priced at CNY 6,999 (~Rs 75,500). All three variants accompany 512GB of SSD and 16GB RAM.

The Redmi G gaming laptop comes with a 16.1-inch LCD panel with support for Full HD resolution. it’s an 81 percent screen-to-body ratio, 300nits of brightness. The screen on Redmi G also has an anti-glare coating. The panel offers support for a 144Hz refresh rate. This laptop features a sleek design with full-sized backlit keyboard support. There’s also a built-in 720p webcam, and dual 2W speakers with DTS: X Ultra 3D Sound.

The Redmi G gaming laptop comes with a tenth generation Intel Core i7-10750H processor, which features a base frequency of two .6GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 5GHz. it’s paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics card. the bottom model is powered by the Intel Core i5-10200H processor, paired with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 GPU.

Regardless of which version you choose, users will get DDR4 RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. The newly launched Redmi G gaming laptop has Hurricane Cooling 2.0 copper cooling system with dual-fans and vents on each side. Connectivity options include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, Gigabit Ethernet port, 1 x USB 2.0, 2 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB Type-C, 1 x Mini DP 1.4, 1 X HDMI 2.0, up to 3.5mm headphone jack. the newest device from Redmi ships with Microsoft Windows 10 Home OS. it’s A battery capacity of 55Whr, which seems to be small if you check out the specifications it offers.
