Xbox One X India price and release date surfaced on official website

It has been a couple of months since Microsoft first announced the Xbox One X. The 4K-enabled gaming console is now making its way to India quite soon. Its launch date and retail price got listed on the Xbox India website. The Xbox One X will be available in India starting January 15 and will be priced at Rs. 44,990.

The listing was spotted first by Gadgets 360 which mentions in its report that the console is available for pre-order on Amazon and Flipkart as well. The links to both the stores, however, aren’t live yet. The console can also be pre-ordered via certain offline stores.

It is interesting to see Microsoft bring its latest gaming console to India within a couple of months of its international launch. The previous Xbox variant came to India years after its initial announcement. The Xbox One X was announced on November 7, 2017, and was priced at $499 while the Indian price of the console directly converts to $710. It is a steep price that Microsoft chose to go with.

Xbox One X’s listing on its official website also gives the details of the box contents. Besides the Xbox One X console, the buyers will be getting a wireless controller, 4K-enabled HDMI cable, power cable, Xbox Live Gold 14-day trial, and 1 month of Xbox Game Pass subscription.

Microsoft’s answer to the PS4 Pro – Xbox One X – includes the Scorpio Engine, which the company claims to be the world’s most powerful gaming console processor. It has a 12GB GDDR5 graphics processor, with a memory bandwidth of 326 GB/s, along with 8GB of flash memory and 1TB of hard drive. This makes the console support gaming at 4K resolution with HDR10 and 4K game DVR. It has an HDMI 2.0b port that can provide your TV with 4K 2160p feed at 60Hz and has support for AMD FreeSync.
