The people who couldn’t get their hands-on the iPhone X can blame these looters who ran away with more than 300 units of the phone. The iPhone is Apple’s most expensive iPhone till date and it became an easy target while the UPS truck was parked outside an Apple store. The total value of the iPhones stolen is said to be $370,000.

According to the reports, the incident took place outside an Apple Store in San Francisco at around 11:15 AM PT. The report further adds that the driver of the UPS vehicle had parked the truck outside the Stonestown Galleria mall. There he went to Macy’s for another delivery after locking the truck.

During that time, the thieves broke into the UPS truck and took it with them along with all the 313 iPhone X units each costing at least $999. Police believe that the thieves were tracking the truck and it was a planned robbery with the culprits aware of what they’re looking for.

Of course, it is hard to steal phones at least now, thanks to the IMEI number that each device has. UPS and Apple are also helping in the police investigation to get the culprits behind the bars at the earliest. Reports say that three suspects in hooded sweatshirts are being looked for by the Police.

This incident should have ideally affected the iPhone X deliveries at the Stonestown Apple Store but Apple isn’t ready to mar the customer experience. A report by CNET suggests that the customers who had pre-booked the phone will get the deliveries on their original dates only.

iPhone X went on sale together in more than 50 markets, which should be the widest iPhone launch till date. The iPhone X has already been much affected by production delays and the availability is expected to be limited at least for 2017.
