It would have been great if smartphone makers could pay me for using their phone because I use it too much. Well, turns out this is a problem with any person you can think of, which is basically a kind of addiction that can prove detrimental for you.

Blockit is an app that is leaning towards reducing your phone addiction. It lets you put a physical block on your phone for a set duration. Once initiated, you can’t unlock your phone or can’t do anything unless the timer goes off.

The best thing is, you can’t override the app but rather requires you to pay your hard-earned money (INR 160/-, the last time I checked) if you want to break the lock. Seems like a legit app that’s trying to keep you away from using your phone, for sure. The irony is, you lock your phone and ultimately, you embrace the freedom.

I have been fascinated about Espanol/Spanish ever since I watched a couple of TV series on Netflix. The same goes for my love towards Arabic, having resided in the Middle East for more than a year. However, the problem is, I don’t speak that language and it is a barrier.

Language learning is great, but you need a companion to get a hold of any new language. LingoDeer is a perfect companion as you get to learn a tonne of Asian and a few sprinkles of European languages. It is a perfect step towards becoming multilingual and who knows, you might become a polylingual at some point in time giving the pros that the app offers on-board. Moreover, the app updates and improves now and then.

The app works on teaching you to read and write languages, their unique alphabet system, sentence formation, and building your vocabulary from scratch. Try it out now!

You have WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Facebook, and a couple of other social media and instant messaging apps. Doesn’t it create a sense of needing to open each app, trying to respond to each message on different apps? I would say, it is the best way to waste your time. Only if there was a way to consolidate messages from different sources?

Well, Beeper is an app for you. It is a multi-network chat aggregation with native bubble support. It lets you track messages and respond to, including apps wiz. WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, LinkedIn, Matrix, Facebook Messenger, Android SMS and RCS and you know, more of others. Stressing on a topic never brings any new idea, it is always those moments when you are careful and into the vibe when something fabulous strikes your mind, and before you note it down, that fab idea could vanish. Presenting IdeaShell, an AI-powered note-taking app that let’s you jot down your key points and refine it further during the next stages.

The AI automatically generates tags and titles that fit your topic for better organizing the ideas. Perhaps, the AI nurtures the ideas by summarizing them. There’s a built-in AI assistant that let’s you take a deep dive into your ideas, gain insights, edit transcriptions and more.

It’s really a powerful app when it comes to pinning ideas before you loss a track of it.

How many times has it happened that you wanted to get task(s) done and yet, the schedule simply fell through? I would say, a million times. With Pomodoro Timer, it allows you to strategize your time wisely where you define your tasks at hand, block time and use Pomodoro as a technique to eliminate distractions.

The crux of this app is to give your productivity a boost, breaking away from the regular procrastination cycle and focus on the tasks at your disposal. Whether it’s stretching or pushups or running that extra mile in the office or at home, Pomodoro Timer works the best. The app enjoys a minimalistic UI that adds to the glory and I would say, it is one of the must-try the best Android apps in June 2025.
