Apple iPhone SE 4 (2025) — From reading about rumors to the device finally getting a formal announcement on February 19, we have come a long way. Turns out the iPhone might be a bit more expensive than the Google Pixel 9a as it prepares for its debut. On the contrary, reports suggest Apple could be expecting to sell more iPhone SE4 2025 units than previous iterations.
Apple iPhone SE 4 Might Cost You More
Apple iPhone SE 4 2025 or iPhone SE or iPhone 16E (whatever you might call it), may arrive with a 62GB built-in storage as its base model. Having 64GB would’ve been a lot a couple of years ago, however, with Android phones shifting to base variants with 128GB of storage, having a 64GB of storage seems ridiculous.
Apparently, a Chinese retailer listing showcased the upcoming iPhone SE 4 with 64GB of built-in storage. We should still get more storage variants at 128GB and 256GB as the phone launches on February 19.
According to the pricing trends, we are expecting the phone will stick to a $499 price tag for the base 64GB variant. As usual, you have to pay $100 more every time you wish to get a higher variant i.e., 128GB variant could fetch $599 while the 256GB will be around $699.
For context, iPhone SE 4 will be pitting against Google Pixel 9a and even with the aforementioned speculated pricing in mind, Pixel 9a will be $100 cheaper than the iPhone SE 4 counterparts. Luckily, there’s no official word on the iPhone SE4 yet so we can take the prices with a pinch of salt for now.
Apple Expects to Sell More iPhone SE4 Units Than Before
Apart from the pricing, we recently got word from Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo according to whom, Apple plans to ship 12 million units of iPhone SE4 in 1H25 followed by another 10 million units by 2H25. For comparison, previous iPhone SE iterations are believed to have shipped 20 million annually which makes the latest numbers something to consider.
iPhone SE4 is expected to ship around 12M/10M units in 1H25/2H25, performing slightly better than previous SE models (typically shipped near 20M units annually after launch). Not only does this help smooth out the usual seasonal dip in shipments, but it also boosts the adoption…

Slightly affordable pricing, iPhone 14-esque design with the power of iPhone 16, and possibly Apple-made in-house Wi-Fi and 5G modem, might be some reasons why people will be interested in buying the iPhone SE 4.
Circling back to its launch, Apple has officially announced the launch on February 19 which is just a few days from today. Watch out for more on the iPhone SE 4 here on True-Tech.
