Samsung prepares Galaxy S26 series for larger on-device AI

With the Exynos 2600 SoC, the first chipset built on a 2nm process, will bring the Galaxy S26 series with cutting-edge performance and especially, AI capabilities. The chip features an improved NPU, which claims to offer 113% improved performance over Exynos 2500, meaning we can expect a significant boost in terms of on-device AI tasks.

Samsung has partnered with South Korea-based AI firm NotaAI for its AI model optimization tech, which essentially enables Exynos 2600 SoC to run larger models on the device without needing internet access. With the new AI optimization tech in place, Samsung can achieve a reduced size of larger AI models while maintaining accurate results.
