iPhone Duo availability varies by region
Walk-in availability will be limited in the United States, the UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Mexico, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Türkiye. Some Apple Stores in Italy will also have units available, although the specific locations have not been announced. In Macao, walk-in purchases will be available only on launch day.
The situation is different in India, France, mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the UAE. Customers in these markets will not be able to purchase the device through walk-ins on launch day.
Customers will need to check the Apple Store website for pickup availability and follow the booking instructions provided for their market. Apple has advised customers to check again on October 24.
Apple restrictions on purchase to prevent group buying
The limited in-store inventory is also intended to help manage launch-day crowds and discourage bulk purchases by resellers. Apple has reportedly limited purchases to two iPhone Duo units per person.
There is some good news for existing customers, as shipping estimates have reportedly improved for many people who pre-ordered the device.
Features of iPhone Duo
The iPhone Duo reportedly features a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch cover display, both with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is said to be powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chip paired with 12GB of RAM.
There are two 48MP rear cameras on the device, one 12MP front-facing camera in the cover display, and one 4MP camera under the inner display. Additionally, there is a 4,883mAh battery, wireless charging of 25W MagSafe and Qi2, IP68 rating, and iOS 27.1 installed. Price in the US is $1,999, in Germany – €2,299, and in the UK – £1,999.
What buyers need to do prior to the launch day
With in-store availability expected to be limited, prospective buyers should check Apple’s official store for local stock and pickup options before visiting a retail location. This is particularly important for customers in India, where walk-in purchases are reportedly unavailable at launch. Would you try to buy the iPhone Duo on launch day, or would you prefer to wait?
