From the past few weeks, we have been seeing quite a lot of leaks, rumors, and speculations around the upcoming Redmi devices. These devices are popped on various listings online. Now, a new device from Redmi has been listed on China’s regulatory body TENAA. Also, Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi and General Manager of Redmi has recently teased a new Redmi smartphone which is said to offer “super-performance”. An earlier report suggested that this device may be the Redmi Note 10.

Lu has teased a smartphone that will offer the “super-performance”, but he did not disclose any information around the same. But after teasing the device, he also reshared the latest post from MediaTek about their upcoming chipset launch. Although there is no official word around the existence of this smartphone from the company, it seems to be the same device that has recently been leaked on TENAA with model number M2004J7AC. The TENAA listing also did not disclose anything around the device and its name, but some of the key specifications have been listed.

The listing of this alleged Redmi device is initially spotted by Gizmochina. According to the listing, the upcoming Redmi device with model number M2004J7AC has 5G support out of the box. This Redmi device boasts a 6.57-inch OLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The aspect ratio of this display is 20:9 and considering the OLED panel we can expect the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor here. If the previous reports are believed, this could possibly be the first Redmi Note device with OLED display. There seems to be a small water-drop camera notch on the display or this could also be a center punch-holed display notch.

Although the name of the processor was not mentioned in the listing it is clear that it is an octa-core chipset with a CPU frequency of 2.6 GHz. According to Gizmochina, this has to be the MediaTek Dimensity 800 or 800+ chipset as these are speculated to deliver the same clock speeds. The Redmi M2004J7AC has 164.15 x 75.75 x 8.99 mm dimensions and weighs 208 grams. The device may launch is seven color variants including Black, White, Blue, red, Green, Silver, and Pink. Also, the reports suggest that it is quite unlikely to announce all the color variants on the launch date.

This device is expected to come in four variants. The base variant comes with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage. There is also another 6 GB RAM variant which will originate with 128 GB of internal storage. The third variant comes with 8 GB of RAM and with 128 GB of onboard storage. The top variant here is expected to come with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of onboard storage. The storage on this device can be expanded up to 2 TB MicroSD support.

As for the optics, there is a square-shaped quad-camera setup on back of this device. The primary sensor here is a 48 MP sensor and the specifications of the other three cameras are not known. We can expect a wide-angle sensor, a telephoto sensor, and the fourth sensor could either be a macro sensor or depth-sensing unit. On the front though, the listing suggests us that this device comes with 16 MP selfie shooter. Considering that this is a Redmi device we can expect this device to come with MIUI 12 out of the box.

The device comes packed with a 4420 mAh battery. In recent times, a phone with the same model number M2004J7AC was spotted on the 3C certification site alongside another phone with model number M2004J7BC. These devices are believed to be the Redmi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro. Also, according to China’s 3C database, these devices will support fast charging and comes packed with a 22.5W fast charger.
