At today’s event, Apple unveiled a sleek new Black Titanium version of the Apple Watch Ultra 2, expanding the smartwatch’s color options beyond the previously available Natural Titanium. This new finish brings a modern, rugged elegance to Apple’s high-end wearable, making it even more durable and visually appealing.
Black Titanium: A durable and scratch-resistant finish
The new black titanium finish is created through a custom blasting process, followed by a diamond-like carbon physical vapor deposition coating. This treatment ensures that the watch remains scratch-resistant and durable, while retaining the premium feel of the grade 5 titanium case. The back crystal is crafted from a matching dark zirconia, adding to its sophisticated look.
Updated watch bands: Trail Loop, Alpine Loop, and Ocean Band
To complement the new black titanium design, Apple has updated the Trail Loop, Alpine Loop, and Ocean Band to include black hardware options in addition to the natural titanium, offering more customization and style choices for users.
Introducing the Titanium Milanese Loop Band
Apple also introduced the Titanium Milanese Loop, marking the first-ever metal band for the Apple Watch Ultra series. Inspired by the mesh design used by divers, this band offers a lightweight, corrosion-resistant option that is both functional for water activities and elegant enough for daily wear. Woven from aerospace-grade titanium, the band features interlinking lozenge shapes and a secure dual-button, parachute-style buckle for added safety during water sports. It is available in both natural and black titanium finishes to match the watch.
Apple Watch Hermès Ultra 2
Apple also unveiled the Apple Watch Hermès Ultra 2, which combines the durability of the Watch Ultra 2 with a nautically inspired Hermès band and an exclusive Hermès watch face, perfect for those who seek luxury and functionality in a smartwatch.
Apple Watch Ultra 2: Pricing and availability
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 in black titanium starts at Rs. 89,900, while the model with the Titanium Milanese Loop costs Rs. 1,04,900. Pre-orders are open today on Apple Store, with official availability starting on Friday, September 20.
