It’s early Monday and everyone is gearing up for work or school or other chores. They got a notification on their iPhone and it says that iOS 14.7 is now available. Apple released iOS 14.7 earlier today as the seventh and probably the last major update before Apple transitions to iOS 15. The update comes two months after iOS 14.6 was rolled out and fixed a few bugs while bringing some new features on-board.

iOS 14.7 Features & Bug Fixes

Talking about the features added on iOS 14.7, Apple has added support to the newly launched MagSafe Battery Pack for iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 mini, and iPhone 12. iOS 14.7 brings on-board an option to combine credit limits on Apple Card Family as well as the ability to share one co-owned account with another Apple Card user.

The incoming update also brings functionality to manage timers on HomePod via the Home app. The Weather and Maps apps in Spain, South Korea, Netherlands, Italy, Canada, and France will now show air quality information at your disposal. Lastly, the Podcasts library can now be sorted to show all the shows available or only those that you follow.

Next up are the bug fixes and iOS 14.7 has a few up its sleeves. I am talking about the bug that prevented the Share playlist menu option from being available on Apple Music. Along with that, the bug that causes Apple Music and Dolby Atmos lossless audio playback to stop unexpectedly has been eliminated as well.

Some iPhone 11 models saw a battery service message which disappeared after rebooting. Lastly, the bug causing the Braille display to show invalid info when composing Mail messages has been uprooted as well.

iOS 14.7 is available for all eligible iPhones and the update is being pushed via OTA as usual. Users need to go to their Settings >> General >> Software Update if they haven’t received a prompt to update already. Note that iPadOS 14.7 should have arrived with iOS 14.7 was not available at the time of writing this. It may be released by the time you read this.
