Google has just announced the Pixel 10 series launch date, and it’s closer than Apple’s launch event. That’s right, the company’s upcoming ‘Made by Google’ launch event, where the company is anticipated to unveil the Pixel 10 series, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a is set to take place on August 20, 2025, in New York City. If you’re into tech or Pixel phones in general, it’s something to keep an eye on.

Google Pixel 10 series launch date announced: Here’s what you should know

About the new Pixel phones

According to most reports that’ve been floating around, the lineup this year looks like it’s going to include Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and also the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. So, four phones. That’s a bit of everything, regular, big, bigger, and foldable.

All of them are expected to run on Google’s new Tensor G5 chip, which is built on a 3nm process. It’s supposed to be faster and more power efficient. Google is also keeping their Titan M2 security chip, so the phones will probably be strong on privacy and security too.

For cameras, there are some upgrades. Pretty much every model will have better sensors. And yes, the displays are also getting some tweaks. Brighter screens, probably better contrast, and tougher glass. From what I saw, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 might be used across the board.

Quick specs

Here’s what most leaks say:

  • The Pixel 10 might come with a 6.3-inch AMOLED, 50MP main cam, and a 4970mAh battery.
  • The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL will have slightly higher specs, with 1.5K or QHD+ screens, up to 16GB RAM, and extra camera sensors.
  • The Pixel 10 Pro XL model should have a 5200mAh battery.
  • The foldable one, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, is expected to come with an 8-inch main screen inside and a 6.4-inch outer screen, backed by a 5015mAh battery.

Other stuff coming

Google’s not stopping with phones. There’s also going to be a new Pixel Watch 4. It should run on Wear OS 6.0 and use the Qualcomm SW5100 chipset. Health tracking and performance are supposed to get better. Nothing major has leaked about pricing, though.

And then there’s the new Pixel Buds 2a. Most likely they’ll cost around 149 Euros. That’s not confirmed, but that’s the number people are throwing around.

Pricing details

As previously reported, the Pixel 10 series is expected to launch with the following pricing:

  • Pixel 10: 899 Euros
  • Pixel 10 Pro: 1099 Euros
  • Pixel 10 Pro XL: 1299 Euros, now starting with 256GB storage
  • Pixel 10 Pro Fold: 1899 Euros

You’ll be able to pre-order these starting on the same day as the launch, August 20. Shipping might start by August 28, if Google sticks to their usual timeline.

How to watch the event

The Made by Google event will be live-streamed at 1 PM ET, which is 10:30 PM IST for us in India. You can watch it on Google’s YouTube channel or on the Google Store. There might be an announcement for the India release too, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.

So that’s about it. The Google Pixel 10 Series launch date is locked in, and there’s a good chance Google will bring in some real improvements this time. Especially with the chip, cameras, and display tech. If you’re planning to upgrade or just want to see what’s next, the event is worth checking out. I’ll share more after the launch if anything interesting pops up.
