There has been a lot of talk about the OnePlus Nord as well as the iPhone SE 2020 and this sparked a new debate about the need of flagship phones when the upper mid-range smartphones can do their job so well that most of the people are happy to use them. Now, we know most of you would have forgotten about the Google Pixel 4a which was supposed to launch even before the iPhone SE 2020. For some reason though, Google kept delaying the phone and it seems like people’s interest in that phone has gone for a toss.

It is likely that people who were hoping to buy the Google Pixel 4a would have either bought an iPhone SE 2020. The only good thing is that OnePlus Nord has not been launched in the North American region so Google still has a lot to gain among the Android users. So regarding the Google Pixel 4a, Jon Prosser who is often reliable with his leaks regarding Apple has come up with a launch date.

Jon has revealed that he is “100%” confident that August 3 will be the launch date for Pixel 4a. It means we will have the phone launched in a week’s time and we are sure you would have said finally! along with us. Having said that, Google’s Pixel 4a has already lost ground to the likes of OnePlus Nord and LG Velvet because they come with Snapdragon 765G whereas the Google Pixel 4a comes with Snapdragon 730.

Some benchmarks reveal that the Google Pixel 4a will be “70% powerful as compared to the Pixel 4” which tells you about the performance you should expect. The advantage Google Pixel 4a will have at launch is almost certainly a better camera in terms of software and not necessarily hardware.

Because the device will only have a single camera but it is proven that Google’s Camera software based on machine learning is so good that even its Pixel 3a challenged last year’s flagship iPhones. Also, we reported earlier about the possible lower price tag for Google Pixel 4a at $349 which is still expected to be intact.

Looking at the spec sheet, Google Pixel 4a is also expected to have a 3.5mm headphone jack which should be good for the fans of wired audio devices and it will have 6GB RAM along with 128GB storage for snappy performance.
