Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 Debuts with Key Upgrades

Pixel Buds Pro 2, as featured in previous leaks, uses a Tensor-branded A1 audio chip touted to deliver powerful performance. Although its predecessor had a custom chip too, Buds Pro 2 debuts with a Tensor chip for the first time. It is said to deliver twice the active noise cancellation (ANC) prowess compared to the original Pixel Buds Pro. The new earbuds reportedly adapt to your environment at an insane speed of three million times per second.

Google went on further saying Pixel Buds Pro 2 are truly comfortable. It is designed based on 45 million data points collected from different ears. It features 11mm drivers, has head tracking feature, and spatial audio support as well. Certainly, Google is building more on its Gemini AI and thus, you can do a lot using the Gemini mobile app with the same.

The second-gen Buds Pro 2 features Google AI to make crystal clear calls. There’s Find My Device support as well should you lose the buds (and it often happens) making it easier to find. There’s multipoint connectivity as well letting users connect with Pixel Fold, Pixel smartphones, and more seamlessly.

With all said and done, Pixel Buds Pro 2 features up to 8 hours of backing with ANC, 12 hours without ANC, and up to 30 hours with ANC and case (48 hours if you turn off ANC). That’s a bit of a let-down given the original Pixel Buds Pro had better battery power but hey, Pixel Buds Pro 2 supports wireless charging. So yes, let’s say Buds Pro 2 is indeed a major upgrade, and you can get your hands on it starting September 26.
