Last month, we heard that the Moto G60S was in the making. Cut to now, the phone has officially arrived-6 on Motorola’s Brazilian website thereby marking its global debut.
The phone is aesthetically premium with an Oppo Reno6 5G-like rear quad-camera setup housed in a rectangular camera bump with rounded edges. It houses a 64MP primary snapper with f/1.7 aperture; an 8MP ultrawide module with f/2.2 aperture and 118-degree field of view; a 5MP macro cam and a 5MP depth sensor boasting an f/2.4 aperture. The front, on the other hand, houses a 16MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture and it is housed inside a punch-hole cut-out.
The Moto G60S arrives with a 6.8-inch FHD+ display boasting a refresh rate of 120Hz. The device gets its power from the MediaTek Helio G95 gaming-oriented chipset which has a max frequency of 2.0GHz and a Mali-G76 MC4 GPU that handles the graphics part of the device. There’s 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage which appears to be the only available configuration. But hey, there’s a microSD card slot for further expandability.
Moving on, the phone runs on the latest iteration of Android 11 OS out-of-the-box with My UX on top. It is equipped with a 50W fast wired charging that tops up its massive 5,000 mAh power bank. There’s a 3.5mm headphone jack, a single speaker setup, a USB Type-C 2.0 port, Bluetooth v5.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi ac among other connectivity features.
Lastly, the device is up for sale in Brazil at BRL 2,249.10 which loosely translates to $430. It is likely to be priced much lower in countries outside Brazil which is comparatively expensive. There’s no word on when it will arrive in other countries though so you will have to cross your fingers and wait for the update.
