If you are a gamer and you know a few things about how gaming works, you would know that integrated graphics are not the best way to play a game and you need a graphics card for the same. A graphics card is an additional memory for just the graphical memory whereas the RAM is for doing everything. Now, there are two main companies that make dedicated graphics card which is Nvidia and AMD. As far as AMD is concerned, their graphics cards are in the Radeon lineup whereas Nvidia has its GeForce range of cards.
It is also observed that Nvidia’s performance is better compared to AMD and this is the reason why Nvidia sells more cards. Talking about selling more cards, Nvidia is looking to make a bumper sale this holiday season by launching their latest generation of graphic cards in the RTX 3000 series. Right now, the RTX 2080 Super and the 2080 Ti are the latest cards from Nvidia that you will see in the highest-end gaming PCs and Laptops.
With the upcoming Nvidia RTX 3000 series, the gaming performance is expected to go few notches higher because the latest cards are expected to have up to 30GB of memory which guarantees best-in-class performance. As the successor to RTX 2080 Ti, we will have the RTX 3090 Founders edition which has been leaked and it looks a lot bigger than the RTX 2080 Ti.
With the RTX 3090, Nvidia has now placed one fan at the front and another at the back rather than both on the same side as seen in the RTX 2080 Ti. Apart from that, the fans are now bigger and the overall card is also bigger. Talking about the pricing, it has been said that the Nvidia RTX 3000 series will start from $400 which will get you an RTX 3060.
After that comes the Nvidia RTX 3070 that will cost you $600 and then we have the RTX 3080 that will set you back $800. Obviously, the RTX 3090 will be top-of-the-lot and it is leaked to cost you around $1400 and it will obviously be a better performer than the rest to justify the price gap.
As for our expectation, we feel that the Nvidia RTX 3090 will be slightly lower to the leaked price of $1400 and similar to the launch price of RTX 2080 Ti which was $999+. We expect Nvidia to launch their graphic cards between the $400 to $1000 mark and we will know the official pricing when these cards are launched on September 1, 2020.
