OnePlus 16 AnTuTu score crosses 5.38 million with Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6

Thanks to the latest update, the OnePlus 16 AnTuTu listing reveals its insane performance. After breaking Geekbench a while ago, the phone has been spotted on AnTuTu reaching 5.38 million points and change thanks to the super-powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 (that’s too verbose, I know). Here’s the story.

OnePlus 16 AnTuTu listing reveals the chip’s initial performance

For starters, the OnePlus 16 AnTuTu listing scored 5,384,433 points (or 5.38 million). Powered by the latest 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 SoC (model number SM8976), the on-board CPU took a share of 1.458 million points, the GPU is at 2.01 million points, while the memory lies around 766K, and finally, we have the UX score of 1.149 million points. 

Although the phone must have been tested under suitable conditions, it still makes the OnePlus 12 among the highest-scoring phones on the AnTuTu listing. The configuration tested was 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, a display buzzing at 185Hz, and Android 17-powered ColorOS 17, out of the box. 

Do note that although the total score is insanely high, configurations, cooling, and other conditions usually influence the benchmarks. For comparison, the chipset scored around 4.84 million points on AnTuTu v11 compared to 4.84 million on the Dimensity 9600 Pro and 4.34-3.50 million points on the Apple A20 Pro SoCs. For now, let’s take this with a pinch of salt, as there will be more instances to concretize the AnTuTu listing once the phone arrives officially in a couple of days.

I know we have gone through the specs a bazillion times, but hey, let’s have a glance at it once more.

The phone is equipped with a BOE X4 6.7” 165Hz global refresh rate display, a hefty 9.000mAh battery paired with 100W charging tech, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 SoC, UFS 4.1 up to 1TB, and LPDDR5x RAM up to 16GB; there’s a 200MP primary cam sitting with a 50MP periscope telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide snapper.

The sad news here is the flagship phone might not make it out of China. I know it’s a bold move, but it seems OnePlus will take an out on the OnePlus 16 India, and instead, we will get a watered-down OnePlus 16R in the country. As said, the flagship OnePlus 16 will be limited to China, as there’s no availability across the EU and North America as well.
