OnePlus has officially debuted the OnePlus 7 series (OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro) with several other products, bringing an end to leaks, rumours and all the anticipation. The OnePlus 7 launch event took place across the globe at the following locations: Beijing, New York, London and Bangalore, on 14th of May, 2019. This article puts everything essential announced at the OnePlus 7 launch event, including specifications, pricing and other details, on a roster that is easy to read and follow.

OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro Specifications:

The event confirms what leaks have divulged over time – OnePlus 7 Pro will arrive in three ram-to-storage combinations: 6GB-128GB, 8GB-256GB, and 12GB-256GB respectively. The OnePlus 7, however, does not get the 12GB privilege and maxes out at 8GB-256GB. Moving on to the common specifications, the OnePlus 7 and the 7 Pro will both sport Qualcomm SnapDragon 855, a QuadHD+ AMOLED display, compatible with HDR10+ standard (therefore supporting Netflix HDR streaming). The OnePlus 7 Series has also received an A+ DisplayMate score for its no-notch, edge-to-edge display (at least on the 7 Pro).

On the other hand, the OnePlus 7 will have a waterdrop-notch like the OnePlus 6T. The notch-less display is called fluid AMOLED by OnePlus, with features like horizon edge lighting. The display also brings 90Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, The OnePlus 7 Pro brings dual stereo speakers in a partnership with Dolby, and Warp Charge that charges 2,000mAh in 20 minutes. The OnePlus 7 Pro also sports a 4,000mAh battery. The OnePlus 7 Pro also features a Fnatic gaming mode, that goes above and beyond to avoid any disruption in gaming, and provides ultimate gaming experience. Both phones will also support the fastest file transfer speeds with UFS-3.0 support. The OnePlus 7 inherits the exact same internals, except a few quirks here and there. The OnePlus 7 Pro will also sport internal liquid cooling technology, which we are unsure the OnePlus 7 will sport.

The latest OnePlus phones also bring updates to OxygenOS, such as improved gesture controls, performance improvements, and adaptation with the new display types. OxygenOS is also getting a in-built recording at 90Hz. There is also a zen mode where your phone doesn’t allow you to do anything other than receive calls or texts, allowing you to relax and take a break. Furthermore, OxygenOS also gets India specific features (such as cricket scores), which are to be announced soon. All of these features are being developed in the R&D centre in Hyderabad.

The cameras on the OnePlus 7 Pro include a 48-megapixel f/1.6 sensor, coupled with f/2.4 8-megapixel telephoto sensor, and 16-megapixel f/2.2 regular camera sensor. The front facing camera is powered by a 16-megapixel sensor that pops out of the top of the phone. Unfortunately though, the OnePlus 7 does not get 3 cameras, and holds on to 2 at the back and a notch on the front. However the OnePlus 7 will bring a unique red color. The cameras on the OnePlus 7 will be the sam 48-megapixel sensor.
