OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus Ace 6T will launch in China later this November to expand the Ace 6 series following the launch of the Ace 6 last month. The company announced the new model through official teasers, which show it as a high-performance flagship designed for gaming and heavy mobile use.
First smartphone confirmed with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
According to OnePlus, the Ace 6T will be the first phone with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The company also shared that it played a key role in developing the chip to allow it to fine-tune performance with its next-gen Wind Chaser gaming kernel.
Trusted leaker Digital Chat Station also revealed that the device will support 165Hz ultra-high frame rate gaming and is the first to adapt a national-level mobile game in China to run at 165Hz.
165Hz display and gaming-focused enhancements
The Ace 6T will feature a 165Hz display for smoother animations and high-frame-rate gameplay up to 165fps, as shown in OnePlus’ teaser. The display is surrounded by a metal frame, which the company displayed in early promotional photos.
Louis Jie, OnePlus China’s head, said on Weibo that the Ace 6T is a new performance flagship, promising “powerful performance” and an “outstanding gaming experience.” Jie stressed that the phone aims to give super-maximum battery life to support its high-refresh hardware.
Over 8000mAh battery capacity hinted
While full specs are still secret, Jie also hinted at a battery larger than 8000mAh. This is an unusually large figure for modern phones, which could greatly extend life for gaming and watching media.
Global variant could launch as OnePlus 15R
At the OnePlus 15 global launch, the company confirmed the OnePlus 15R will debut later this year. This leaves open whether the Ace 6T will become the 15R’s global version, or if OnePlus will base it on the Ace 6 instead. The brand hasn’t yet explained how the models are connected.
