Being acknowledged as an innovative smartphone brand, OnePlus entered this market with the launch of the OnePlus Pad which had successfully grabbed the market. It seems that this time the company aspires to tackle the supremacy of Samsung in the high-end Android tablet area.
OnePlus Pad 2 Poised to Rival Samsung’s High-End Tablet Dominance
Several days ago Max Jambor, a renowned tech tipster, unveiled interesting findings on the Pad 2. Quoting his own tweet about the release in the second half of 2024, he suggests the new tablet will the highly efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, also present in leading smartphones like Galaxy S24 Ultra and OnePlus 12.
This upgrade succeeds the original OnePlus Pad‘s MediaTek Dimensity 9000, and will exponentially improve the performance on Pad 2. Other rumours suggests that the Pad will also feature an AMOLED display, competing directly with high-end Samsung Tablets.
Of course with big spec bumps, we can also expect a slight price bump on the OnePlus Pad 2, given that OnePlus has always been a brand that delivers good value to consumers. Not to mention, it is also speculated that OnePlus might release a cheaper “R” variant of the tablet, like the company’s phone lineup.
