We have seen that OnePlus has been strangely quiet about their latest OnePlus Nord smartphone but they have not done so for their upcoming OnePlus Buds which are its first pair of truly wireless earphones competing with the likes of Apple AirPods as well as other Android OEMs.
Last week, we reported that OnePlus Buds will give a battery backup of 10 hours in just 10 minutes of charge thanks to its WARP charge technology. Their product manager also revealed that it will not have wireless charging and the reason for its exclusion is cost.
This means that OnePlus Buds will be quite affordable in nature at launch. Now, we don’t have to wait till July 21 for the first look as the first TWS from OnePlus have been revealed. Sharp Folks at 9to5Google managed to extract the official design renders of OnePlus Buds from the latest OxygenOS update and we now know how the OnePlus Buds will exactly look and what colour options they will have at launch.
So without further ado, we have attached the official renders of OnePlus Buds above and they will come in three colour options which are Black, White and Blue. Now, it is clear that the teal blue colour option will be offered with the standard black and white options since teal blue is the official colour of Nord series. Also, we will have a case that looks to have Matte finish and the teal blue earbuds will have yellow accents inside the buds case.
It is also worth noting that the Buds don’t look very similar to the Apple AirPods or the Samsung Galaxy Buds and that is a good thing for people who have a problem with companies following the design of Apple’s premier wireless earbuds. Along with the looks and colour options, more details of the OnePlus Buds have also been revealed.
First of all, the Buds will have a “Find My Buds” option which will make it easy to find them if lost somewhere. Also, they will have instant pairing which is a standard feature that every wireless earbuds come with. Donly Atmos support is also said to be included with the Buds and we can see the influence of OnePlus Bullets series on the design of OnePlus Buds as well.
Of course, you will also have touch controls on the Buds that will let you tap to play/pause as well as double-tap to skip tracks and they will be remappable in nature too. The charging case will be oval-shaped and it looks to be designed to have a nice fit in the pockets.
