Oppo K1 with in-display fingerprint sensor Launched in India

Oppo has announced a new series in known as the Oppo K series, with first phone Oppo K1. Oppo K1 has already been launched in China with a starting of CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 16,900) for the base model with 4GB of RAM.

Apart from an in-display fingerprint sensor, the Oppo K1 also touts a 6.4-inch FHD+ (1080×2340) waterdrop AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and over 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset is paired with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. We will know in a little while whether Oppo plans on launching both memory variants for the Indian market. Both the RAM versions come with 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.

The Oppo K1 is priced at Rs.16,990 for the 4GB RAM model, which is the one launched in India, while its 6GB RAM option costs CNY 1,799 (Rs 19,000 approx) is only available in China as of now. In India the phone is being sold in Van Gogh Blue, and Black Jade color models, while China boasts two other color options – Mocha Red, and Silver Green.

The Oppo K1 packs a 3,600mAh battery and sports 16MP + 2MP dual camera system on the back. The droplet notch on the front houses a 25MP selfie camera for crisp and detailed selfies. Given the specs and pricing, the Oppo K1 will look to take on the likes of the Realme 2 Pro and Mi A2 in the country.
