Realme is adding another device to the GT series. Dubbed as Realme GT 7 Pro, this is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 powered smartphone with a custom-made display, a 6000mAh battery, and a periscope camera setup at the back. We got updates from DCS and other sources putting the upcoming flagship phone in the limelight well before it launches in July or December this year, as per various sources.
Realme GT 7 Pro Leaks: Rumored Specifications
We have been hearing about Realme GT 7 Pro for a few days now. The specifications for the upcoming GT series phone have appeared on Weibo thanks to the tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS).
According to DCS, the purported Realme GT 7 Pro will bring a 1.5K 8T LTPO display onboard. A domestic display manufacturer is expected to ship this customized display panel to Realme. Under the hood, we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 SoC followed by 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM. We are talking about the latest UFS 4.0 and LPDDR5X RAM, respectively, given its flagship status.
DCS mentions an ultra large silicon negative electrode battery onboard although, there’s no mention of battery specs. If we referenced the predecessor, we are hoping the GT 7 Pro to at least pack in a 5,400mAh battery. We heard a shift in market trends regarding. the battery size according to which, upcoming flagship phones will take on a 6,000mAh battery. If that’s true in the case of Realme, we should see a powerhouse of a battery onboard GT 7 Pro.
We aren’t aware of the camera optics yet although rumors have it, the phone will feature a 50MP periscope lens with 3x optical zoom much like its predecessor. For now, we have these leaked specs that arrived ahead of launch, but rest assured as we will get back with more updates.
Realme GT 7 Pro Release Date
Realme GT5 Pro arrived in December 2023 and since the Chinese OEM is skipping GT6 Pro, we are hoping GT7 Pro to arrive in December this year. Of course, it is a long wait but given the specs sheet tipped recently, we are hoping you’ll wait as it will be big this time as well.
On the contrary, we have heard that Realme GT 7 Pro might arrive as Realme GT 7 alongside the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro (OnePlus 12T) in July this year (at least in China). Of course, there’s a lot of confusion around the moniker itself. The same unreleased phone is known by many names — Realme GT 6, GT 7, and GT 7 Pro, to name a few.
