Xiaomi launched the Redmi 9 days ago, leaving the Redmi 9A as the last device to be released within the Redmi 9-series. Redmi 9A has long been tipped to be launched because of the successor of the Redmi 8A. The phone is predicted to be a rather stripped-down version of the Redmi 9, but still, bring enough in terms of features and specs to face out on its own. Details of the Redmi 9A has now appeared from an unexpected quarter- the Philippines.

A brochure containing the models Xiaomi will release between July and August 2020 reportedly found its way online. The brochure has the Redmi 9 and Redmi 9A listed as “Coming soon”. What’s interesting about this leak is that the renders of the9A, also as some key specifications, were listed.

Redmi 9A

From the listing, we will assume that the Redmi 9A will share an identical design with its predecessor – the Redmi 8A. the planning includes a waterdrop notch at the front and at the rear, a centrally placed, vertically aligned module housing one camera and flash.

Redmi 9A Specifications

In terms of the specifications, the Redmi 9A is listed to bring an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 SoC paired with the maximum amount as 3GB of RAM. As for cameras, the phone is claimed to urge a quad rear camera setup which can include a 13-megapixel main camera. The leak also reveals the phone will get a huge 5000mAh battery to travel.

Before this, the Redmi 9A has been leaked within the past where it’s been revealed that the phone will accompany a single-band, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi chip, and 4G support. As per previous reports, the phone would feature a body that’s 164.85mm and a width of 77.07mm. Reports have also pegged the Redmi 9A to support 10W fast charging.

While there’s not any information on the pricing yet, we expect the phone might be launched for a price almost like the Redmi 8A. The new phone intrinsically should retail in India for around the Rs 10,000 mark. However, this is often something that we’ll only get to understand needless to say when the corporate launches the phone in India.
