I’m pretty sure you guys are well aware of the fact that there’s a grand opening on February 25 for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+. The company recently announced that the S-series will continue its era for another year with the Galaxy S9 and S9+.
There have been tons of leaks and rumours of various devices just ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) this month. Now that we’ve heard about the each and every detail of the device, it’s time to take a look at the promotional camera samples taken on the Samsung Galaxy S9. These images were found lurking around on the very famous Chinese micro-blogging site, Weibo.
The images were first brought into light by the people at MySmartPrice on Thursday. There are three images which were shared and each of them as a ‘9’ watermarked on it, similar to the one on the launch invitation. All the 3 images show us the different aesthetics of the cameras and its capabilities of shooting in different lighting conditions.
In the first image, we can see a boy enjoying his time on a swing, this points out at the capability of the device to shoot with a quick shutter speed and also it handles motion very well. The second image shows us a man who is about to jump into a lake, which again shows us the lighting features. Last but not the least, we can see a cat trying it’s best to climb up a table, this image shows us the depth of field the camera can capture.
It is said that the Galaxy S9 and the S9+ will be yet another boring upgrade to the S-series, but what’s worth noting is the improvement in the camera segment. The official specifications of the device are still a mystery but going by the rumours we can say its a decent upgrade to the much appreciated Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. If you were wondering whether there would be a name change of the device, think again since Samsung did refer the smartphone as Galaxy S9 in their recent press release.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera, not a dual rear camera setup, but luckily the Galaxy S9+ will. Recently there have been some reports about the Galaxy S9+ to sport a dual camera setup on the front. As of now, we can’t say if its true.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is expected to come with a 5.8-inch QHD+ Infinity Display, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage coupled with the Exynos 9810 chipset, the Snapdragon 845 chipset will be used in some markets. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S9+ may sport a 6.2-inch Infinity Display with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The pricing of the devices hasn’t been confirmed yet so we’ll have to wait till MWC 2018.
