Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 expected to launch

Qualcomm is expected to introduce the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series during the event. The new processors are expected to be built on a 2nm process, which could provide better performance and improved power efficiency than previous generations.

According to industry reports, the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 (SM8950) is being tested with LPDDR5X RAM. A higher-end version, called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro (SM8975), is rumored to support the newer LPDDR6 RAM. Both versions are also expected to support UFS 5.0 storage, which could provide faster data transfer speeds.

The standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 is expected to use a similar CPU design but may include an Adreno A845 GPU with 12MB GMEM. Qualcomm has not officially confirmed any of these specifications.
