This year, we saw a bunch of devices under the Motorola Edge 50 series including Neo, Pro, Ultra, and Fusion. However, there was no standard Motorola Edge 50 in the scene but seems like the smartphone maker is finally setting things right. We just heard about a vanilla Motorola Edge 50 5G that will be christened as the world’s slimmest MIL-810 military-grade smartphone and is arriving soon.
Motorola Edge 50: The Slimmest MIL-810 Military-Grade Smartphone
Get ready to witness the smartphone ‘crafted for the bold’ as that’s what Motorola is marketing Edge 50 5G as. The Edge 50 5G will be the world’s slimmest MIL-810 military-grade smartphone if the tip from leakster Sudhanshu Ambhore turns out to be true.
We got a glimpse at the vanilla device that shares proximity to its siblings in terms of design. For the uninitiated, you can check out the images below along with three color options that the phone will bring on board i.e., Green, Gray, and Pantone-certified Peach colorways. A front punch-hole camera takes care of your selfies while the rear triple camera array sits on a camera bump that ends up flush with the back panel much like its siblings.
Vanilla Motorola Edge 50 Specifications (Expected)
Based on a bunch of previous leaks and rumors, we could paint a picture of what to expect with the Edge 50 specifications. The phone is speculated to bring on board a 6.4” 120Hz pOLED panel and will be powered by a Dimensity 7300 SoC under the hood that we recently saw with a budget-range CMF Phone 1.

A rather unsettling 4,400mAh battery sits under the hood paired with a 68W fast charging. Even though it is the same as Edge 40, it could’ve been improved a bit to make it apart. Certainly, Motorola is playing it cool with the MIL-810 certification and will certainly market the latter as such.
On the optics front, we have a 32MP selfie and a 50MP triple rear camera setup. The rear assembly includes an ultrawide and an auxiliary shooter, although the exact specs are yet to be defined.
Unfortunately, we aren’t aware of the vanilla Motorola Edge 50 release date at the time of writing this. However, the amount of leaks paints a rather close by launch date for the device for sure.
