If you are thinking of buying a new smartphone from Vivo, you must wait for the next month as Vivo will uncover its next-gen mid-range device Vivo S9. The device has already been on Google Play Console and cut to now, the device has since arrived with full specs leak from both Digital Chat Station and Arsenal on Chinese social media site Weibo.
According to the specs leak, the device packs in an X60-famed triple camera setup at the back that Vivo is calling a micro-cloud platform. We aren’t aware of the actual specifics though. We do know that the front packs in dual snappers right at the middle in a notch. It houses a 44MP GH1 snapper from Samsung along with an ultrawide sensor. The rear camera setup is almost identical to Vivo S7 5G.
Moving further, the display 6.44-inch AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. As per the report, the device sports a flat frame composed of aluminum and magnesium alloy. According to the report, Vivo S9 will pack in 5G support, and with 7.3mm thickness at it weighs 168grams, it will be the lightest 5G smartphone in the world. The back is curved at 2.5D and that’s pretty much all that we know about the design.
Next up, the device is driven by the world’s first 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1100 processor that has managed to score an AnTuTu score of 600,000. To our surprise, Arsenal mentioned that the AnTuTu scores are similar to that of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor which is a big deal. Vivo S9 will be powered by a colossal 4,000 mAh battery paired along with 33W fast charging tech.
Further, the device will arrive in two storage configurations which include a 8GB + 128GB and a 12GB + 256GB variant. We are not aware of the pricing as of now so we will have to wait for more information that should be uncovered soon.
