Xiaomi released its Mi 6 flagship earlier on April and set it to compete against some of the best mobile phones ever made – Galaxy S8, LG G6, Sony Xperia XZ, and much more. Unlike most Chinese phone manufacturers that are known to exaggerate a particular feature on their flagships and ignore everything else, Xiaomi did a great job by developing a flawless hi-end mobile phone that out prices its competition.

The Mi 6 shares Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with the Galaxy S8, and sports a compact 5.15-inch full-HD LCD display. The 3,350 mAh battery is more than enough for a long-lasting lifespan, while the latest and fastest mobile processor tied with Adreno 540 GPU, 6gigs of RAM and Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS will provide one of the best gaming experiences current smartphone technology affords.

In photography terms, Xiaomi Mi 6 comes equipped with a duo of 12MP six-element-lens Phase Detection Autofocus cameras with f/1.8 aperture, 4-axis Optical Image Stabilization, and dual-tone LED flash for capturing 4K videos at 2160 pixels. An 8MP selfie snapper covers Full-HD video chat and hi-res selfies.

The Mi 6 supports two SIM cards, 4G LTE network, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, and a front-mounted fingerprint sensor. Its browser supports HTML 5, with such a powerful processor to power it, video playing and online-based unblocked games gaming mode will have a smooth running

But enough with its general specs and let’s talk why this phone has got everyone that finds Samsung, Apple, LG, or other traditional hi-end devices overpriced covered in every perspective. The Mi 6 is not an ordinary phone, it shares performance with Samsung’s flagship for 2017 (LG couldn’t afford to compete against Samsung and launched its G6 with Snapdragon 821), has outstanding photography supports, is equipped with the latest technology in connectivity, and sports a premium metal body design (in addition, there’s a ceramic version that adds more to the design).

Xiaomi is selling its flagship in China for around $360, a price that remains lower than the Samsung’s “budget” line of devices and yet cheaper than Apple’s only affordable phone, iPhone SE. Regarding Chinese competition, no available phone even gets close to what Mi 6 has to offer even for a comparison. While there might be a Snapdragon 835-powered smartphone to rival Xiaomi’s flagship, the newly-released, OnePlus 5, their pricing is very close, they share similar specs and furthermore, OnePlus 5 is actually available worldwide. Xiaomi has been slow to globally release its most-wanted mobile handset, and that may return as a boomerang against it.
