UPDATE: The news is officially confirmed by Jio, through their latest press release.
After more than six months of free internet with the preview and new year offers, more than 100,000,000 customers have already subscribed to their free services. However, the Jio complimentary data connection offer will end today, along with the chance to subscribe to Jio Prime. But wait, rumours are already floating around: Jio is allegedly going to extend the period to subscribe to the Jio Prime membership until April 15th, along with three months of free data to only Jio Prime subscribers, on a recharge of Rs. 303.
Jio has already gathered 72 million Jio Prime customers that are willing to continue using Jio’s telecom services that offer premium data at dirt-cheap rates with free national and roaming calls. With this, Jio is currently the largest greenfield 4G LTE wireless broadband network, yet they have no projection to hold on. Jio is supposed to set up another 100,000 towers shortly, with a total investment of Rs.200,000 crores. Additionally, Jio international roaming has been established and is available all around the globe.
Coming back to the topic, Jio Prime subscribers will be greeted with three months of gratis internet data on a recharge of Rs. 303. Which implies, users will be provided with free three months of complimentary data with the same New Year offer. This totals to 91GB of free data from April to June, and 28GB of the Rs. 303 recharge for July. All things considered, you get a total of 119GB of 4G mobile internet data at only Rs 2.55 per GB. And well, it doesn’t end here, if you are already subscribed to the Rs. 303 plan, there is a complementary Rs. 201 worth 5GB data as well.
And for you guys who couldn’t subscribe to Jio Prime already, fret not, the Jio Prime Subscription deadline has been extended until April 15th, 2017. Do go ahead and subscribe to Jio if you are excited about this offer. With lesser people, the load on the server is said to reduce, and internet speeds are expected to boost. Not to mention the new towers Jio is setting up for even faster and wide-range connection.
