After the rapid growth in the telecommunications field by offering unlimited 4G data, calls, and SMS, the telecom operator Reliance Jio is all set to launch another service in India. According to the latest rumors, the company is planning to launch Direct To Home (DTH) services in the country the very next month. Now it looks like we’ve already got an alleged picture of how the DTH Set Top Box of Jio looks like.

The picture showcases a round Set Top Box, along with its remote. Based on the picture, the Set Top Box rocks an S/PDIF (Sony or Philips Interface Format) port, an Ethernet port, an HDMI port and a USB port. Also, the remote is said to sport a mic that might support voice activated features. The STB is supposed to be powered through the Jio Fiber or dish, which will also be a part of the package.

According to Jiocare.net, the monthly prices of Jio DTH services will range from Rs 180 – 200, giving access to more than 300 channels including the premium HD ones. Reliance Jio is also said to tie up with international broadcasters to get the rights to stream popular English TV series like The Flash, Game of Thrones and many others.

Since it is Jio and they always come with preview offers, we are expecting the company to provide at least three months of free DTH service to the users. Currently, we do not have information on the exact launch date or offers that will come with the DTH service, but the company is expected to reveal details about it anytime soon, considering that their fiber broadband connections have already been laid out in a couple of cities. Stay tuned for more updates.
